Hello. I'm having my tranny rebuilt, I gathered all the parts, but now my garage contacted me saying the synchro ring for 5/6th gear is wrong. The part no. I have is 928.304.211.30, and it's correct according to multiple retailers in the web. However PET says 928.304.211.23 is used through 3-6th gears.
Can someone confirm this part 928.304.211.30 is suitable for 996tt 5-6th gear?

I called FVD Germany. They confirmed this 928.304.211.30 is correct part no. but it's the steel one instead. So if you are planning to upgrade your 996tt tranny synchros, these are the way to go.

928.304.211.23 = Stock brass synchro 3-6th gear

928.304.211.30 = STEEL SYNCHRO FOR 3-6th GEAR
