Interesting design for sure. I do agree there really is not much for the 996tt anymore, its all the same stuff at this point. Kudos for doing something different OP, personally hate the LEDs in the bumper, they look out of place and the car is trying to be something its not. I dont mind the fact that the 996 is just what it is at this point, I love the leds on my 997tts but I just really feel it looks out of place. Hopefully in person this thing kicks ***.

Just be careful, I had some on a car for approximately 5 years. At that time is damaged enough that it needed to be replaced (keep in mind it was my daily driver/track car).
The film was so brittle that it could only be removed in little chips (even with a heat gun).
Ultimately I installed a new bumper, because the labor to remove the film would have been more than the cost of the bumper.

I'm glad to see you doing a project that will ultimately bring you more joy and satisfaction with your TT. That's what it's all about, it's your car, do what you want and do it to please yourself. It looks like you have the thick skin to report your progress here, good for you.
