Also, we learned something interesting. X50 cars (at least mine) came with the GT oil pump from the factory, the base Turbo does not.

Count the lifters make sure you have enough. I ordered a complete set a yr before i needed them. Never opened the package , put them w/the other parts. When needed i was a full cylinder short. 20 lifters fill a pkg up for shipping and i had to eat 300$ for 4 more lifters and overnight shipping

Everything is coming together and we are in the home stretch! I'm excited and nervous (in a good way) at the same time. I should see it roll off the trailer at the SlipStream Half Mile in PA this weekend.

The engine is back from Tim, the trans is full together (after a slight delay caused by waiting on a fresh r&p and custom 4th gear from Guards), the new turbos from Precision are here, CSF radiators are being put on as we speak.

Today Prodigy got me hooked up with the newly ProEFI compatible BTI Gauge as well.

Badass upgrade! Are you going to paint the radiators black to blend into the bumper or keep them silver?

I haven't even thought of that...in the interest of time I will keep them silver at this point, but something to consider over the winter. I have some rock chips up front I want to get touched up at the same time.

We are in the home stretch!

The motor and trans are in, we've even had our first start up. Not much to update beyond these two pictures at this point. I'm packing to leave for the 1/2 mile event in PA before dawn and the guys at AIM are pulling overtime to get the car ready.

If they can pull it off, it will be trailered to the event most likely Saturday morning.

Did I miss it elsewhere in the thread? Who's headers are those, and what did you end up going with for turbos, wg, intercoolers? Any meth injection, or just lots of gas and e85?

AIM custom headers that set the turbos back

Prodigy beat me to it, the headers are hand made by AIM, turbos are PTE 6062, WG are PTE 46, IC are AWE. No meth. The car is running ProEFI w/ the Flex Fuel sensors and an upgraded fuel system and will be tuned with multiple maps on Pump 93, E85, and Ignite 114 (all tuning done by Garth at TurtleTooned.com).

We had a slight hiccup with cam timing causing the car to not be ready for the event, but Tim and AIM got this all sorted by Sunday afternoon and the car is back together and ready for 'tooning'. I'll have about 2 weeks to get used to the new power, then will be bringing it to the Pocono Roll Races on Aug 14

I'll also be going with a custom boost activated exhaust by AIM as well to avoid hacking up my existing system.
