Installing the Wagner IC's is easy all you need to do is remove the bumper, rear wheel arches wheels and unbolt the ICs. Then mount your new intercoolers to the OEM hangers, fit the carbon shrouds, and refit the hangers ICs and shrouds all at once. Then re-fit your bumper arches wheels and your done.

I have a little bit of a different set up but from the following pics you will see what I mean, fitting these ICs is much simpler than fitting 3.5" IC's or any other IC that requires any cutting or or trimming of the OEM shrouds.

ICs and shrouds have arrived

Remove Bumper, Rear Wheels, Air Box etc.

Remove old IC's including hangers and shrouds from the car. 4 bolts

At this point I decided to wrap the exhaust and cats closest to the IC's if this makes any difference I'm not sure but I already have Turbo Blankets so thought it may as well continue. Not sure if the Turbo Blankets made any difference either I'll probably do another layer of the wrap at some stage.

Fitted some new Forge DV's using yellow springs

Blew a water hose while logging with my old Wagner 3.5" IC's so had to fix that too. If you do this make sure you use your original clips the new clips supplied by Porsche are too thick and dont fit correctly and you blow another hose out. I know because it just happened to me when I was in the middle of nowhere logging.

Reading the instructions that come with the coolers.

Fitting Carbon Shrouds to the coolers.

Fitting the Coolers and Shrouds to the Hangers.

Fitting Coolers Shrouds and Hangers to the car. I found it easiest to hang the whole lot from the upside down bolt in the first pic before guiding the rest into place. Make sure you guide the hanger into the slot as shown on the 3rd pic.

This pic is of the top carbon shroud fitting into the cars permanent ducting.
Hard to see here but it actually fits like a glove once the hanger is positioned
correctly and all the bolts are done up.

IC's and shrouds installed before installing the bumper.

Bumper almost fully Installed

As far as Im concerned these IC'S are fantastic my 996T has had a significant power boost without a re-map.

A Re-map is next, followed by fitting high flow 7" fans to the bottom of the coolers mainly to help in the hot Australian Summer.

Logs are all on the other thread if your interested in the data.

Cheers men,
Tim

Did you wrap the catalytic converter itself? If so you may melt it! I've always been told that wrapping the cats is a no-no so be careful.

Some people say wrap some say dont wrap as it can shorten the life of the cat.

Im sticking with the wrap but will reconsider adding another layer
