Im pleased you had a better experience Jimmy but I wonder why you are so extremely intimate with your system?

I get your unhappy but you continue to avoid the question. Do you have close up fotos of the failed part? And why replace the entire system if only a pump harness failed?

It wouldnt matter to me if i lived across the world i dont toss 1500$ away without a resolution. Degrading the vendors products doesnt help either but thats my .02

Try to understand no vendor chases a customer to see proof of a failed part. Its up to the customer to provide the required proof the part is defective. Once thats done THEN its up to the vendor to make good

Update: i got the car running yesterday evening, Sean spent some time with me on the phone to go over the wiring in the system. After a lengthy phone call, it turned out i had the polarity wrong. It was a honest mistake that i overlooked, and was searching elsewhere in the harness for issues that did not exist.

I am intimate with my system due to some minor install complications and my **** retentive self wanted to make it look better. I had to remove it so I could figure out how to make my fuel level gauge work. I have a very different setup than most do.

Sean was great to deal with on my end. Like I said it sucks you had issues.

lol....been there done that. Doesn't help that the stock fuel pump power is the black wire!

Yeah, my fuel level arm got trapped too! Happened both with stock and Sean's system. You have to pay attention to orientation to keep that from happening for sure! I'm looking forward to seeing the proEFI update that will allow me to see fuel temp so I can decide if I want to PWM my pumps or just leave them staged. It flowed plenty of E85 for my car, I need to find more of it! :-D

Interesting thread.

In relation to your reference to K24 turbo's and Tims' reference to audi's, this is an extract from a recent thread post that I participated in on an audi forum down under.(not my words).

"If your budget won't stretch for some quality turbo's, FT over Rabbit all day. Doug's QC seems to be miles ahead of Sean's@SRM and he will actually warranty his product when the time comes. The FT's also just fit so much nicer than the K24's. "

I had wiring issues with the srm fuel pump too. Two fried wires from the relay.

Wires from relay dont make contact well and move around. We cut all the wires and took out the relay connector. So far its been working great.

Interesting I'll have to look at mine. I have only one relay I don't use the stock harness to power anything but the fuel level sensor and I reworked the way it was installed originally. I just didn't like the way it was installed. I'm an electrical contractor by trade so I was curious to know how it shorted.

Wire was burnt 6inches. You take the relay connector out of the black plastic and connect the ends right to the relay.

Here's how mine is installed. Powered right off the battery fused of course. I haven't had any issues so far.
