bent rod on clutch slave cylinder

Hey guys, having my clutch replaced and my shop called to say that I have a bent rod on my slave cylinder.
3 years ago the same shop installed a new cylinder.
What would cause this?? It sounds pretty weird
thanks Mike

I can't imagine it being possible to bend giving that the shaft is beefy and also pivots from the slave to allow for a certain amount of clutch fork misalignment.

I am with you on this. The shaft is pretty beefy IMO it would take a hell of a lot of force to bend this. I would ask to see the shaft and make sure they didn't assume its bent just because it is hanging loose in the rubber boot.

It was the same shop that installed my lightweight flywheel kit and now I'm changing it back to the dual mass flywheel I'm just perplexed as to why the shaft got bent
what the hell would cause that
