Thumbs up Evo Clutch and Lightweight Flywheel

Picked up the GT2 from Arling today. Lucent is a class act, Tom and Arling are awesome! Excellent work and service as promised.

I had the stage IV with the race file, headers, boost hoses, clutch and lightwieght flywheel installed. Big grin on my face driving home!!!! Had to take the long way, but way too much traffic to really get on it.

I really wanted to pass on the info that I am very impressed with the flywheel. It's like a different engine, it revs quicker, let you shift faster and in my opinion much smoother to drive and better shifting. They should have included it from the factory. I really didn't care for the mass associated with the stock flywheel. It made me feel disconected from the engine. I feel like I have much more control of the engine and trans now. I highly recommend this mod for you GT2 owners.

Grussell,

What do you think about it for a '99 C4 cab w/ Evo supercharger?

Regards

Grussel,

Please tell me more about the clutch and flywheel set up. Like the weight of the flywheel and any other driving observations, ease of use in traffic or on hills. What model clutch and flywheel did you get? Sorry for all the questions but I'm also looking at doing this on my car.

Thanks,
Gunther

The GT2 is already an edgy car and you must pay attention if you wish to drive it smooth.

The stock clutch pedal effort in my car is firmer than that of yours. Also, my car is much lighter and has less drive train mass.

I would say your car will react different than mine for those reasons, but if I had a stage IV TT I would still go for the lightweight flywheel. You may want to ask others that have installed it in a TT and get their impressions first, but I would say do it. Also, my car is not a daily driver.
