bobu676 is infamous around these parts
Question 2 & 3 stalk steering column switch

The turning signal stalk of my 996TT will not return to center and I understand from some old posts that it means a small piece of plastic is broken and I have to replace the whole unit.

Ok but I was so surprised when browsing through different parts dealers searching for prices and one example is as below:
(1) 99661321310 No Cruise Control, No OBC - $275 (2) 99661321510 No Cruise Control, with OBC - $875
(3) 99661321710 Cruise Control - $275
(4) 99661321910 Cruise Control and OBC - $325

I know prices vary dealer from dealer but I found the same magnitude for the price difference between these variations.

Unfortunately my 996TT comes with (2) above. Anyone knows why (2) is so much more expensive than the rest? No Cruise Control with OBC is $550 more than (4) Cruise Control and OBC? What kind of logic is this?

I also read from some articles that I could simply purchase (1) and transplant the OBC stalk from my current unit to the new one. I doubt if that would be so simple...

Any advice/ comments is highly appreciated.

Many Thanks.
