I could see that happening. A quick reving motor with a light flywheel and a pulley bliping the throttle to rev match shifts would beat on the IMS quite a bit.

I would expect antilag and using a 2step to launch would beat on it as well - probably more harsh honestly. Rev limiter too, my car blew a coolant line bumping the rev limiter on the dyno.

Well unfortunately for me my car hasn't seen the opportunity to do any of those things. I could take it a bit better if that was actually the case. It may have been fatigued from when it took a **** on the dyno last year around this same time. ( Can't believe that I'm saying that it's been a year since it came apart on the dyno ) that said at this point none of it matters. I acquired one from Tim and it's going back together. This time it's all on me if it fails. I now have another paper weight on my desk as a reminder that I'm fu&%ing nuts.

As far as the copper looking stuff that was actually coolant that came from a loose clamp under the intake. It looks nice and clean now.

Out of curiosity, why are the tops of the pistons so deeply scored?

Palm to face.... I was looking at the final photo on the last page. That is your workbench I am seeing through the block and I just haven't had enough coffee yet this morning!

I had to take pause at that photo as well.. "something is wrong with those pistons... no valve reliefs, way too flat... that can't be right.. wtf..." a few seconds pass.. oh wait

Nice, glad you did the arp's. It's amazing when you are tightening them, 85 lb ft is so much torque, feels like you are going to break something.

Yeah I wasn't going to be this far apart and not change them. I know that everyone has opinions on it.
