We were at Qatar Half mile Racing round 1 last weekend.
I'm very happy to announce that we managed to break the Porsche Half mile World record with 223,7mph - 360 km/h
The car is a 991TT/S and specs are;
Our 997 Turbo ES2K package engine swap
Custom sequential transmission built by Bill Rader.
Holinger Paddle Shifter package
Custom upgraded axles
Syvecs Ecu with custom harness and firmware
Plex tuning SDM 300 screen
The car belongs to our customer from Qatar, Abdulla Althani.
It was a unique project that we finished last year but we only had 3-4 runs last year including an accident which prevented us from testing it more.
However the car is back this year with a better form.
1st run;
There was too much wheel spin in 4th gear, couldnt complete the run.
I checked the logs and made some adjustments and we were ready for the 2nd run.
2nd run;
As you can see in the video first 3 gears was very lazy and spinning and shifting early.
Running clean on 4th 5th and 6th gears resulted with 223,7 mph.
I checked the logs, re-tuned first 3 gears, then we went for a 3rd run,
3rd run;
Car launched very well, was going for 230 mph
Unfortunately one of the turbos blew up on the way at about 215 mph,
so we couldn't complete the run with full power.
Finally we are very happy to see this unique project succeed,
we also see that we have more room for improvement.
