Warm High Idle - Not MAF
Warm High Idle - Not MAF
Has anyone had an idle issue where idle goes to 1800 after warm-up?
I have replaced the MAF because other threads suggested that would be the cause, but it did not correct the problem. Before my trip to Spokane, it was only at 1200 but now that everything is properly cleaned out, the idle stabilizes at 1800. If I blip the throttle, it goes down to 900 and comes back up to 1800 in about 3 seconds.
Ideas?

However, less a long shot, and as others have offered it is more likely a vacuum leak.
The vacuum tip (thanks Krazy) sent me in the right direction... The turbo inlet hose on the driver's side was off. It's funny the idle was a little high (around 1000) before I went to Parade. The 1800 thing happened on the way after driving the wonderful roads south of Seattle. I'm surprised more stuff didn't fall off - the roads were horrendously bumpy in many places.
All tightened up and idling around 800.
Thanks for all the suggestions!
