I totally understand where you are coming from. After about a month I realised my 996 TT was far too civilised for me. I should have gone with my gut and gotten a GT3 clubsport. So much moreminvolving and so much more fun.

The 996 TT is a fabulous car, but it's just too boring.

i think it all depends on your needs and driving style. i wanted either a gt2 or gt3 wheni was shopping for a new car.. but for my current needs both gt2 & gt3 was not the perfect match for me.. the turbo was, it had the power i wanted, 6speed, and comfy enough for dailydriving.. for me at the time of purchase it was and still is the perfect car for me.. When i go to my next car it will probabaly gt3 bec. it wont be a daily driver anymore..

I felt the same way coming from my M3 when i first got it, hated the 996tt.. But now im actually having a blast and alot of fun, but i still much rather prefer RWD anyday over AWD, oh well its an experience.. I really want to drive a GT3 though. Anyone in NY willing to swap for an hour haha

zed is infamous around these parts
Might make sense for me to wait for the 997 GT3 which will be more distinctive with the centrally located dual exhaust pipes. What I realize now having had the 996TT for 16 months is that I need more revs. The 996TT is kinda grainy at the higher end. The GT3 is more like Ferrari and Lambo in terms of ability to rev.

More heresy: My Tip feels faster off the line than the 6 speed I drove. My first inclination was to trade the Tip for a manual 996TT but now having driven the GT3, manual 996TT and my Tip 996TT, I'd just as soon either trade for the GT3 or keep the Tip and "suffer" with that for the time being.
