Engine Compartment light stays ON

When I shut the car off the engine compartment light stays on.

Is there a switch that needs to be replaced?

TIA

Is the frunk latched? If it is not the engine compartment light stays on.

I had the same issue intermittently after long ago swapping in led’s for all the bulbs interior and engine comp and frunk.

Not knowing what else to do or try, I simply unplugged the one in the engine comp a few times, and bent the alum tabs a bit and sure enough.

No more issue. Was luck or coincidence, I am sure

The light will stay on if the frunk is open - whether the car is on or not. I'm pretty sure it will go off if left on for too long. (I don't remember the time required for that one)
