I ordered new Textar pads a while back from Pelican but have not had a chance to install them. I'm hoping to do the install over the weekend. Before I start disassembly I want to make sure I have the right pads. Pelican says they are correct for 996TT front pads but right off the bat they don't have the round weights that my stock pads do and Im having a hard time cross referencing the Textar part number. Anyone have a set of pads lying around that can confirm these at least look the same?
Thanks Rob...appreciate it. For some reason I anticipated they would look longer. I tried to cross reference with Textar but still not 100% sure these are correct. If you could check I'd appreciate it..just don't want to start taking apart until I confirm. Yes, I'm being lazy (but really I have been strapped for time lately).

I am replying to your "take apart" comment...
You know - all you have to do is take the wheel off, disconnect the brake wear sensor, remove the little pin retainer on the large pin going through the brake pad - then pull the pin and the pad out. No other disassembly is required.
You may need to slip something thin in to pry the weights off the back of the pads if they are stuck and you do need to use a clamp to retract the pads fully to be able to get the new ones in easily. The whole deal should take 10 minutes per side. It is amazingly fast and easy to change brakes on these cars!
hope yours don't squeal like mine often do. i have to "hard stop" a few times every cpl months, it seems that "un" glazes them or something. but textars are prone to squeal lol.
I've used them a few times and mintex ( iirc? ) before and i'm gonna go mintex again next time. GL with em!
I have been quite successful reusing the old weighs (as long as they are still a little sticky), but I did have to buy new ones this summer when I changed the fronts.
