All of I have to say is that the Viper guys on the forums are as mature as the guys on BMW Roadfly. One of the reasons that made me sell my Viper was how immature the viper community was. I think I was spoiled with the 6speed community. I have talked to several viper owners on the phone and some are really great guys, unfortunately they to admit that THEIR viper forums are not indicative of most owners behavior.

that's the problem with forums but in general I did find the Viper guys to have to much ego, etc.. (I loved how they kept saying that the Vipers were so much better handling cars then my old porsche!. I was like what IDIOTS!

Sorry for venting here. I guess I am still soo pissed off I bought that Viper. Never going American, EVER!

Ehh i kind of noticed that as well when i went to the Viper meet in my M3 over the summer and with my friend in his Supra, we knew a few people and always were invited. But sometimes they would talk alot of shlt for no reason, cant park here this and that lol, immature they are! BUT i did meet a few cool people who i still chill with , there's always a few rotten apples in the bunch no matter what you do!

I mean i guess to say that is just as childish, BUT you have to understand, even when the M3 owners would talk shlt about all other cars or the BMW owners, i also wanted to sell mine because it would get me so madd, so i know what he was feeling But looking back at it likw WTF, i would never sell a car because of people in a car group, i would just stop associating with them, obviously!

A lot of Viper owners are also P-car owners. You need to find your comfort niche. A lot of Viperalley guys know their cars very well therefore they are excellent with technical support.

HotRod, I sold it because I did not like the handling, rattling, cheap interior. I loved the sound, raw power, looks. Gave it a try but simply wasn't me. The viper community was just another reason to add to my displeasure, that's all.

Out of respect to Gary Javo, and without any commentary, I am cutting and pasting the following message posted by Gary on Viper Alley that he apparently tried to post here, but was unable to:

--------- ---------

"I tried to go over to their site, but it wouldn't let me register. It said my email was banned by the admin...

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=41831

I was going to tell them that I have nothing against Porsches or losing, but I want Alex to give Darius a fair shake at the next race, including clearly defined starting and stopping points, and conditions that are not skewed towards an AWD car. I know the Porsche has less than half the displacement of the GTS, and that is truely impressive, but it also adds to the problem. Darius is sort of in a lose lose situation in some ways. If he wins, well so what, he was racing a tt v10 up against a little 6. If he loses, holy ****!! That 6 cylinder just BBQed(My God that's a ****ing obnoxious video) the TT v10 500 CID Viper!!! You see, either way, the odds are against Darius, IMO. At any rate. I love racing and watching the different outcomes between different machines. It is MHO that this Porsche in it's current configuration will get walked by this viper. That's nothing against the 996. I am really impressed that the 996 kept up as well as it did!! Congrats on an extremely fast P-car."
