I'd rather lease a turbo. I drive too fast to benefit from looking through that big glass thingy. my 2c

Me too...skip the targa and try a lease on a pre-owned certified turbo. I think you can lease those through Porsche Financial Services or your own financial institution.

The targa wasn't ever popular in the 996 line...

Doesnt sound like a good deal for a Targa to me. I wouldnt touch it.

no such thing as a good deal on a targa

i like them but whatever price you get, you'll get hammered regardless (or they wouldn't sell it for that price).

if you really want a targa, i'd lease it so you don't have to worry about resale. no one wants a targa, unfortunately

you should be getting more than 9k of on a targa - they are quite undesireble

Turbos and Cabs go at $10k off, a Targa discount needs to be more aggressive than $9k.

Targas are the worst selling of all carreras because it gets so hot in the car. If you dont get 1 or 2 grand over invoice, than you are not getting a good deal.
