Ok first off I dont know how to set the seat memory on my 996tt every time I get in the car and un lock it with the keyless entry the seats move and the side mirror moves.I try holding the # 1 button to see if it sets but it doesnt.There is also a button that has an M on it would that stand for memory? I tried holding the M and the # 1 and still nothing.what am I doing wrong ? (I feel like a retard)

 

Hi,
The seats are set to whatever key (out of the 2) you are using. With your ignition or (car not running), set the seats & mirrors to how you want them. Press the M button and 1 button at the same time and hold them down for 10 seconds. Immediately (no more than 5 seconds after) press the lock/unlockbutton on your key that is currently in the on position. You may need to have another person helping you.

I had many similar problems with my keys and seats. Turned out the keys were not programmed correctly within the cars computer. For example my Key1 was set to memory 3 and Key2 was set to memory 1, etc. The dealer fixed it after 3 trips!
