NightDriver

I became interested in this new groundbreaking technology from Raytheon. It is called NightDriver and is a night time infrared imaging system with a head's up display. It is available on Hummers and Cadillacs.
Here is the link:

Does anyone have any additional information on this product? I am thinking it should be adaptable to other vehicles.

Ken here is the Raytheon Web Site And what you might have to do right now is get a helmet and mount a portable IR system to the helmet. Hey it is a possibility

Oh come on!! If this is available for the Hummer, why can't I buy the Hummer version and adapt it to my car?

Yep, GM introduced this technology when the new Cadillad DTS came out. It was an option that went for over $1k! I also heard it is not that great except in the short range but that may have just been a bad review.

I am not going to say no but I am also not going to say yes, the electronics maybe hell, the IR system may need a big mounting point and where are you going to mount the HUD unit? All question to ask to Raytheon. But hey anything should be possible.
