You said a gt 750 evoms car... those come with smaller turbos and on stock internals... the rennlist thread u directed me towards shows a Gt800 fully built motor.. god knows how much boost it running... and it has at least a pair of leathal garrett gt30rs or even better gt35rs... whiich is what Im going with
that gt 800 car id definately nothing compared tot he stock internal gt750.

Markski,

FVD stage II - see .9 steady with 1 bar or 1.1 spike. I will find out shortly when I go to a 1.2 bar program with the hybrids. Frankly, I have had such good luck with this stup, I am hesitant to change the filter, but it's been a year and is probably time.

Markski,

I am getting the Speed Gallery .003 low clearance K16/24 (GT1) hybrid, which The SG claims run perfectly with FVD stage III software. So I am upgrading the FVD stage II software to stage III, adding the FVD intake plenum and porting and polishing the stock headers. I have a RUF exhaust and RUF PSS-9, which I will retain.

M3,

I have a stock K16 car with FVD stage II ECU and RUF exhaust. When I purchased the program in 2002, FVD explained that their program was conservative on boost to preserve the integrity of the motor. Perhaps they have become more aggresive in their boost mapping, as they learned the threshold of the motor. I am not sure. My car read a steady .7 bar stock, with .8 spike - so FVD raised the peak boost by .2 bar.

John, I was wondering because it does sound kinda low compared to mine. I have stock k16's with Giac II. I seem to consistantly hit 1.1, but drops to 1.0 in 1st and 2nd. But in 3rd and up, I will hit 1.2 and then it will drop to 1.1 and stay there. I think my wastegates must need to be calibrated to hold the boost.
I was just wondering. Thanks for the info.

.
I know FVD really well.... since I ran both stage 3 and stage 4ecus.... ist a German program.... one note.... not to throw u off.... the computer basically pulls timing to adjust the octane level.... but just for ur info... all of the German ecus including FVDs run on 98 RON which is equivalent to 95 octane US.... ist not that big of a deal.... casue a 93 program will run well on a 91 program.... I just wanted to let u know that... for example, I have the speed Gallery stage 5 ecu with 93 and 100 race programs.... how do i know that? is it really a 93 octane program? do tuners really spend the extar $$$ to run a car on 3 different fuels to make different maps.... Hmmmm Im not sure.... some states have 92 octane... do they have a 92 program? none probably do.... Im not beating anyone up... I just know that whats on paper is not always the fact.... check u ecu and ull see a FVD white sticker on it... and on it will say stage 2 98 RON.
BTW- the FVD Plenum which I just sold, i had for 2 years, was the best extra modd I ever put in....
just my thoughts.

ist the wastegates... they cant hold the flap closed and it flutters open.... just liek on my FVD K24s hybrids.... i hit 1.2 bars and then in 4rth or 5th hard pulls it would drop off to 1.1.... but that was on K24s...
U may want to consult someone to tighten up ur wastgegates abit.... taht might help... u give it lets say a whole turn clockwise on the nuts and see if there is any difference.... BTW... ur maxing out ut turbos.... 1.1 bars is it.

Thanks, plan on getting someone to adjust the wastegates for me since I have no idea what to do.

I thought the k16's were good up to 1.3 bar? Maybe I misunderstood. Anyway, that is why I should have bought your setup.... those Zero Clearance Turbos w/ billet wastegates you had would have been all of it. Thanks again.

A k24 hybrid can hold that but not a k16.. no way.... k16s run out of steam at 500 hp.... k24s at 560 to 580........ and they run well at 1.2 bars.... u need soemthing like a stage 5 turbo from Kevin or a evoms hybrid from a gt640 set up to be able to work"efficiently" at those PSIs..... and the other trick is a billet 1 bar or 1.2 bar wastegate taht can hold the extar boost. tahst why ur k16s are dropping off to 1.1 form 1.2 ...
