It still could be the MAF. Cleaning doesn't always fix them.

I give in.. I'm taking the car Monday @ 10:30 for the stealership to fix it.

And I did have the car checked via the computer at Porsche, but only a charcoal canister showed up on their computer. That’s why I was confused.

I figured if I change the fuel filter and spark plugs on my own (with some help from a buddy who is all to familiar w/ turbo cars), I could maybe fix it. The MAF is cleaned, so that wasn't the problem and neither are the hoses.

Confusing....!

I'm not talking about a scanner to simply check if there are any codes stored, I am talking about a scanner to look at the actual readings of the engine sensors. Your O2 sensors, fuel trims, timing, maf, etc will show an abrupt change when your hesitation happens. This will go a long way in telling you what is wrong. Spend the $250 or less on a good scanner and YOU will be able to tell the dealer what to do to fix it. Hook up a vacuum gauge as well.

Well the car is at the shop, and believe it or not, it looks as if the CD Player install was the culprit. Turns out, not yet confirmed, that the installer tapped into a power source that ended up drawing power to the CD Player, possibly causing the ECU to not work adequately.

I think they have about 7 hours of diagnosis on the car, which is roughly $1400. I called the installer of the cd player and it looks like they may be the ones footing the bill. Not yet confirmed either.

Strange huh???!!!!

2001 came with beru FR5s and they were replaced by fr6s...

however, the general consensus it to use a udl6 made by bosch.. they withstand the boost better.. evoms/IA / sharky use only these....
and I do to...

I'll take that dollar boys...., but first they need to confirm that it is the cd player causing the problems`..!

I had cartoys install the cd player.., they seemed as if they would take care of the bill. They were begging me though to take the car back to them rather than Porsche, as they are afraid of the mortgage sized work order. I'll keep you guys informed.

I don't know if I'd go back to that shop or just send them the bill and as Markski says, learn from it....
