Was the instrument cluster surround ever available from factory as a painted part? I don't see the option code in the parts manual. All I see is leather, carbon, wood, and black.

 

I saw those in the "exclusiv" list:
XCA: trim strip aluminium look
XF2: leather instrument housing
XKX: Instrument panel surround in silver
XND: lower instrument panel painted body color
XNG: instrument surround in leather (996)
XPW: instrument surround in light Burr walnut or maple (996)
