The quiet version would be the perfect solution if you can just eliminate that resonance. From 0-2k rpm, it sounds great. From 2.6k or thereabouts and above it sounds great. From 3k up, it's very aggressive, but won't set off alarms etc.

My dyno charts showed almost no loss of HP with the quiet system vs. the loud. This with stage IVgt.

Ron, if you tend to do a lot of driving with your girlfriend, then I would suggest you look at the Quite.

I believe that most women will have a tough time with the Loud.

Definitely. With the loud, my wife was pissed just when I started the car and she was still in the house. I hear that women racecar drivers love it though.

I've never told my wife how much I've spent on mods. If she knew... then she'd really be pissed! (Well, actually she'd want an equivalent amount to spend on furniture...)

I push my Lambo (ANSA F1 exhaust) out of the garage, start it as quietly as possible, let it warm up before driving at about 10 mph down till the end of the street. My wife still complains and if we happen to have the windows open in the summer, I have to close them before I leave.

The Cone of Silence

The true test of age...

We can now all have our own Cone of Silence.

(Half the people or more on this group won't get this).

The rest will smile and know exactly what I am talking about.

hey guys,
well I guess I'm through being confused about which exhaust to buy. I just hooked up a Gembella exhaust from Heinz. Thats the one I wanted originally because I have one on my cab and I really like it. Then when I jumped on this forum about 4 days ago, got really confused cause didn't realize how many types and options I had. I figure if I dont like it I can at least get half my money back and try another. This hobby is all about trial and error anyway. Isn't that what makes it fun. . . I get it installed tomorrow afternoon. I will definately let you guys know how it sounds and how pissed my girlfriend is. But you know what, I dont care anymore if she gets pissed on the Benjamins I'm spending. Woman are just as expensive to keep happy anyway. Pls dont let your wives or girlfriends read this thread. . .

msindi,
How old is Evan anyway? Do you have the brake system Fred has? Do you track your car? If you do, can you fit 18"s over those brakes?

Hey Ron,
Funny stuff on women there....Trial and error is cool except it costs too much!!
Evan is one of the younger board members....17 (Im 24 myself)...
Yes I do havethe same brakes as Fred (I think I was one of first here to get em) except I also have the 4-piston 14" rear and not just the front kit. I am running 19s and since I do not track its perfect. I actually initially did the brakes for the look factor (those 8-pods and 15" rotors fill in that HRE wheel well) but am now glad I did!! With level 4 you really do need extra braking to stop the extra power. Everytime I drive my best friend's stock TT now and come to a light I feel like IM gonna rear end someone LOL.

msindi,
Yea, your 15" 8 pods look dope. Yea, my money is spent mostly for looks also but with all the green spent, I want to see how the tt drives over 110 (thats the fastest I've gone). To crazy to go fast on the streets here. So I'm gonna check out that Porsche driving school in Jan when I get back from my surf trip. Hopefully by then, I'll have most of the mods I want on my car (ecu, ceramic headers, DV's etc. Have you tried that school yet? If not, you wanna check it out in Jan or whenever?
Ron
