B&M vs Evo short shifter

I tried out a short shifter in a 996 that the salesman said was the porsche short shifter (that I understand is made by B&M) Although it was more precise than stock by quite a bit it was a little stiff for everyday use Imho. On Evo's website they sell both the B&M & their own Evo shifter. Has anyone had any experience comparing the two of them. I have had short shifter's before in my Vette & M-3 & although the throw & precise action was better than stock they became a little tiresome over time. If you have the Evo or B&M or Porsche short shifter curious as to your take on them, Thanks for any help.

My Porsche SSK (really a B&M) smooth and precise, but by the nature of a shorter throw it will require "more effort". So I would assume any shorter throw is going to give you the same feeling. So......as I said in a former post these SSK's are not liked or appreciated by everybody, personal preferences.

That about sums it up as accurately as possible. Nice job.

I run the B&M shifter with the EVO Shift-linkage and have for the previous 25k or so. It is a bit more notchy than the stock setup, but I wouldn't have it any other way. The B&M SSK really "connects" you with the car.

Had the EVO Ron/Vipertest... swapped it for the B&M. B&M is much smother-not as notchy and a tad shorter throw. Had the pop out of 2nd thing happen twice over a year but I would deff go B&M. EVO looks like it but it don't feel like it........ It ain't bad but I think the b&M is a step up.
