Can the OEM nav system be replaced with the Pioneer AVIC-Z1? Has anyone done this and if so do you have directions? What about the CD Changer? Will the OEM system work with the Pioneer or need to be replaced?

I want the Z1 too but am waiting till someone figures out the bypass to watch DVD and access NAV functions while driving. It was supposed to to be the same bypass as the D2 but it apperars that it is not.

 

I've heard the sound quality on the aviv z1 isnt that great. But I could be wrong the benefits from the z1 is that it is a 7 inch, which may fit a little better.

 

Would not be the unit I would get if I was going for sound quality but it has all the features I have wanted in a head unit - XM Traffic, Bluetooth, Learning NAV and so on.
