This thread raises a related question;
Should the gas pedal be smooth and the brake and clutch pedal include the rubber inserts. This is what is shown for the Techart pedals and it would seem to make sense. You want your foot to "slide" on the gas pedal as you accelerate or decelerate. You are basically only hinging your ankle. For the gas and clutch, you'd want a solid grip as you're using your leg muscles.
