Driving West

I always wanted to drive accross country especially through Wyoming. I plan on doing it in a couple weeks starting in NJ stopping in Indaianpolis for some buisness and heading out West. I want to also stop at Mt. Rushmore what is the current speed issues on Hwy 90 through S. Dakota In Wyoming what is the current speed policy I know there were some recent changes.

Thanks for any help

Most western states have a 75 mph speed limit on their rural freeways, lower in the city areas. Distances are great, highway patrols small, enforcement is higher near cities. Some states have a trooper at every active construction zone, most watch those carefully. A good radar detector is useful, but there are some aircraft and other tricks used. It is helpful to monitor the truckers on CB channel 19, they chat about the police activity.

Great to hear another (longer) trip that is going to happen. My dad and I are driving our Turbo from Philadelphia to Palm Beach with my friend and his dad in their 996 coupe... going to be a great time.

You'd better post pictures!
