On tuesday Joe west and I were looking at our cars and we noticed that we had diffrent rubber on our 03 cars. Joe has Continental Contisports and I have Pirelli p-zeros. I then went buy the Dealer and looked at one of the new turbos ther eand it had Michelin Pilot Sports. I am just wondering why Porsche would send out cars with diffrent rubber?? What did ever yone else get on there cars?

 

Porsche does use different rubber...The Michelins are the latest addition...Since 02 they have been using COntis as well. I had an 01 with Pzeros then my friend got an 01 with Contis. My 03 came with Pzeros too!!

 

My 03 had SO2As. The dealer told me at the time that they were coming in with either SO2As or Pirellis and that it was just luck of the draw.

Hey Tyler... did you happen to hop in the white cab that they had on the showroom floor and try the short shifter?

Make sure when you get your upgrade that you spend an extra 300 or so and get the shifter upgrade; man... what a difference.

Also... When are you going to post the Las Vegas run for the AZ, CA, NV crew? I'm guessing most of us won't be going to Chicago.

Porsche uses on thier new cars: Pirelli, Continental, Michelin and Bridgestones these days.

 

Joe I am not sure about the trip date to Vegas It was somting that Todd tossed out there. Seems Like a way better location It is No more than 5 hours drive from AZ or SoCal and most of notheren CA. I know that there are a ton of turbo GT3 and GT2 owners in these three states and what beats the night life of Vegas.

 

Any one of these particular brands better that any other?

Personally, if I could choose, I'd go for the Bridgestore S-02A or Michelin Pilot Sport or even PS 2.
