DE Events and Brake Pads+Fluid

just read a post about a new TT owner going to a DE and boiling his brake fliud on the second day of the event and losing his brakes. Needless to say, this something I would like to avoid! I have an 01 TT with 13k miles and my first of hopefully several DE events is in 2 weeks. I had my fluid flushed by my local Porsche dealer in Dec before winter storage. I assume they used OEM fluid. Do I need to flush before the event. It isn't a big deal because the dealer only charges 78$. I just bought a Motive pressure brake bleeder and after this event I am going to handle the brake fluid flushing and bleeding myself. After this event, what brake fluid is recommended for a street driven with 4-5 DE events a year. I have researched some brands and Motul RBF 600 and ATE super blue seem to be the best. Are these fluids OK for everyday driving and do they mix OK with the residual OEM fluid. Also, what pads are recommended for street use with limited track events. Thanks in advance. Kevin

Kevin, this topic has been extensively covered before so since you are new to this forum if you really want a lot of info try a seach. so you can get started I'll give you MY opinion.......pagid orange brake pads properly bedded in......castrol SRF fluid, full flush before event. Doubt you will loose your brakes at a DE as a new driver with that set up. If you do the brake bleeding is necessary for a two day track event. Have to admit in all the two day events I've done I have not had to bleed the lines. this was while others did have to.
this also assumes more than 50% pad life left cause less causes more heat transfer.
If above doesnt do it I also have the GT Cup front and back brake ducts (cheap and factory OEM, and 30% more air flow to rotors.

Get started, let us know or pm me, I love the track stuff with this car!!
