Bleeding Brakes after a few Lapping session - How to ?
Hi,
Some of the guys at the track told me to bleed my brake system once a while. I am running oem pads and disk and did not intend to make any changes to it. Do I really need to bleed the system ? If I do, can someone tell me what I need to do ? What I can understand is:
1 - Work on 1 corner at the time.
2- Unscrew the bolt and open the brake fluid reservoir
3- Have someone firmly press the brake pedal to the bottom
4- Tighten the bolt
5- Check is the reservoir is below "Min" (if yes, add fluid)
6- Depress brake pedal.
7- Repeat on the nest 3 corners ?
Car is a 2003 911 Twin Turbo no X50 no Ceramic.
Thanks

You don't need to do this in the middle of a track day. Just get it done every 2-3 yr or before/after the track season.
For instructions on brake fluid bleed, you can check renntech.org. You are describing the 2 man method without any bleeding tools. You can get a suction too which will draw out the fluid too.
