Adding oil

I have almost 9K miles on my TTX50. Whenever I get a quart low, I shoot over to the local dealer and they put a quart of Mobil1 in at no charge. Nice guys.

Yesterday I was a quart low and it's been 3K since my last oil change, so I told them to change the oil. The dealer's service folks said it was "stupid" to change it that often, so I had them just add another free quart.

How often should we change the oil? I drive the car "hard".

Anyone?

Do it every 3k miles. Especially since you drive it hard. Forget on what they tell you at the dealer.

Change it every 3K, some dealers are just too textbook.
