MARKSKI,
It's good to see you busy on your cars. I must say you have a great choice in street cars. The Evo VIII is one of the most enjoyable cars to drive. I guess we had the chance to modify one, but my friend (car owner) struck me with the news of him selling the car. I had already purchased the mods that accumilated to something close to 23 grand. Some of the main items were as follows;
- AMS GT35R Turbo KIT
- AEM EMS (With integrated UEGO Controller)
- JE PISTONS
- CROWER RODS
- CROWER VALVE SPRINGS AND TITANIUM REATAINERS
- HKS 272 CAMSHAFTS
- AMS VELOCITY INTAKE MANIFOLD
- CUSCO TWIN PLATE CLUTCH KIT
- AEM 5-BOLT CAM GEARS
- ARP MAIN STUDS
- ARP HEAD STUDS
- HKS HEAD GASKET
- MAGNAFLOW TITANIUM EXHAUST
....etc.
I guess i might buy an EVO VIII one day ? You never know at times.
P.S. At what stage is your 996TT at ?

Thanks again guys for the compliments.....
to answer some questions:
Mike, an STI platform is almost twice as expensive to make and u will probably have a hard time running low to mid 10 regularly....
Alex, that 9.9 pass was spraying 100 shot I believe... adn not sure about the gutting part. All I can say is that I drive this car everyday... all I have to do is put race gas and IM good. We are going to refresh the tranny(30K miles on it) and change the shifter.... BTW- this track is NON NHRA sanctioned track... so it really sucks... not like the one in Bahrain
thanks again for all the comments,
mark
