I am having my Evo Intake installed today that I bought from a board member (new, great price). How do I tell if it is the oiled or dry filter? If it is the oiled, who do I buy a dry filter from (EVo direct)? Also, how often should one change the dry filter? thanks in advance

 

The oiled one I have is pink in color and oily to the touch. I think the dry one is white? Also I believe if you have issues with the oiled one, then Evo will send you a dry filter free of charge. At least that was last year after I bought mine. I have no issues with the oiled one, so I never asked for a replacement.

 

M3CAB, my turbo is silmilar to yours (Artic Silver), I'm dying to put on the same bumper and wing as you. Are you happy with the Techart and the Misha Wing? Who did you get the Techart from? Is the wing fix or does it go up and down? Would you do it different with hind sight? Any insight you can offer is appreciated, thanks

 

Hey Ritchie, I bought the Techart II from a fellow 6Speeder about 4 months ago. Bets thing was that is was already painted Arctic Silver. I had to buy some additional pieces from Arling since the seller didn't sell me all of the parts. No biggie though. As for the Misha GT2 wing, I just installed it last night. I bought it from the Xmas sale and it took me a while to get it painted by a competant painter. I also bought a spanner wrench and had to wait 2 weeks to get it. If you buy the wing, PM me, and I will let you borrow the wrench, but of course you will have to send it back (paid $25 to use it one time).

If I could do this all over again, I would actually wait to buy a real GT2 wing and install that. I like the Misha, but it does raise up and down, and I think I need to get used to seeing it up while I am driving. It is a big wing back there.

 

Thanks for the insight. I never considered the visibilty factor of the big wing. Does the GT2 back have a better veiw? Does the Techart front look as good, close up and in person? thanks

 

If you didnt see my threads, look for threads started by me by clicking on my name. Look at my before and after photos, techart front, painted sides, drop, painted wheels and GT2 wing totally changed the look of the car, night and day!

Techart front and some sort wing is a must man, bumper looks amazing in pics, in person wherever Goodluck man!
