Unhappy New TT X50 delivery delay

Spoke to my dealer today and my TT X50 is not going to be built until Jan 04, for delivery in Feb. I was told that I would have the car in Sept/Oct this year. Cuts in UK allocation are blamed for the delay.

I have to say I'm really dissapointed. Feb delivery will probably turn into March due to UK number plate issues and that's a long time away. I'd specced the car just right to take into account my height (-10mm std seats) and power requirements, as well as cosmetic and colour choices. I now have several choices:-

1 - Wait until Feb/Mar 04.

2 - Buy a GT2 now (my dealer has one) and do without sat nav, bose etc. Problem is sports seats are too narrow for my shoulders. UK price is £116K.

3 - Get a Ruf RTurbo. Spoke to Mrs Estonia Ruf today and I could have a new 520BHP car by Oct/Nov 03 to my spec for £138K + extras.

Any comments much appreciated
