I bought a V-flow intake from someone that bought one and never installed it (they say it was for a stock decklid). I have the stock decklid and it touches the rubber gasket slightly. Is this the way it should fit or do I have one made for a different decklid? How can you tell which decklid it was designed for? thanks

 

That should be correct. You mean the rubber gaskets from the actual lid.

 

the rubber on top of the intake above the filter is touching the lid slightly

 

Yes that is correct. It is supposed to make a seal with the box and the engine lid.

 

That is the correct fitment.
