Question Cup Holder 996

I cannot seem to get a consistent answer for this, any help would be greatly appreciated.
I would like to know if I can install the in-dash dual cup holder into the lower half (console level)- upper bay (above the DSP unit)of my dash?
Or could it be installed in the upper half (dash height) - lower bay (below the heater controls) and move the Radio to the lower half upper bay??? Make sense??
Thank you

The cupholders get mounted below the center vents, if they were mounted anywhere else and when in use they would just block controls.

Holders

Thanks for the quick reply! I understand about blocking the controls, but the real answer I am looking for is will it fit?

I think if I mount it in the lower half the only thing I could block would be the radio push buttons - which I think I can work around. Thanks again!
