Mystery GT2-like Nose

Does anyone knows who makes this mysterious (to me, at least) GT2-like nose on this 996 C2? Never seen anything like it before. I've checked Anziano's and NR Auto, and it's not from either place.

That's Caractere. A Belgium company. It's for the 986 Boxster, but also fits the 996.

Yes, indeed! Thank you very much--mystery solved!!! The funny thing is when I asked the sales guy, he tells me with a straight face, "It's the very rare Porsche GT2 package. That's why you've never seen it!"

I agree! It's the best nose I've seen on these older 996 C2's. I don't usually care for the older style headlights, but with this front bumper, it actually looks pretty darn good!

I don't know if you can make it out in this fuzzy shot, but the car also has TechArt side skirts and factory GT3 rear wing and deck lid, plus 19" 235/275 tires. It's quite a hodge-podge!

Ooops! Actually, I was wrong about the rear--It's not the GT3 wing and deck lid, but rather the factory Aero kit wing and decklid (I think?). Someone please correct me if I'm wrong

the factory aero kit is the same as the 1st generation GT-3, but since the Gt-3 wasn't offered in the US, they gave us it's body parts in the form of an Aero Kit.

Previous owner went to a little effort replacing the 911 badging to the newer style. I don't think that is a factory wing piece (It looks to be too big for that car). The mock turbo bumper appears to have some heat shielding in the vents. I'm going to have to go with questionable on the kit, sorry.

Is the center section of the factory wing piece adjustable like that?

To answer some questions, that is indeed the GT3 version 1 (MK1) aero kit and wing, which was an option on the regular C2 996's as well. Similar to how the new 997 has a similar aero package to the upcoming 997gt3, the wing is definitely an OEM piece

iLLM3,
surprised me u didn't spot it.

YoWils,
that's some mis-matches there. it's a early 996 with aero I wing + Techart style TT/C4S side skirts (99% knock-off since Techart only made that for TT/C4S) + 99% knock-off 996TT/C4S style rear bumper.

based on the bumper & side skirts i'd say that wing is probably knock-off replica as well lol.

Yikes! This car is quite a bastard!!

Definitely not the ultra-rare factory "GT2 package" then
