Suspension issue....

I just drove my TT back from Florida to DC, and when I got back to my house, I noticed my front left suspension was sitting about 1/8" - 1/4" lower than it used to. The gap between the tire and fender is significantly smaller than it was before.

Here's my setup:

01 with techart lowering springs (30mm). Had them put on 4 years ago at 3k miles, car has 25k miles now. Could the shock just be worn out now? Im going to go to PSS9's, but just wondering what might have happened?

Spring is probably sagging. Make sure that the perch has not broken or something strange. I have seen springs do this from time to time.

Maxwell that really sucks! I'm also going with the PSS9's. When I get back in town (Mid July) we should get together and compare notes on the PSS9 set up.

I hope you get your problem fixed.

jayster is infamous around these parts
Just a note on the PSS9's, set them up (ride height) as reccomended, and you will be very happy with them. I also reccomend using GT2 align specs where they differ from the 996tt.

Stephen was right as usual. The spring perch, the little rubber/plastic disc that the top of the spring pushes against is cracked and being pushed upwards by the spring.

What is the "standard" setting for the PSS9's? Is there a standard ride height for it to be set at?
