I explained to my wife on our first date that there is another woman in my life... and that woman is the queen of my garage. ;D She is very tolerant of my car habit, I guess she figures it could be worse.

Cool Mine has her own....P car that is!

Mrs. Cooper has her own 2003 C4S, and she drives it like she stole it! She was racing me down the freeway (which one I won't say ) the other evening and proceeded to tell me she saw 120 on her speedometer!

My ex girlfriend LOVED my cars, and loved cars in general.. now with this new girlfriend she thinks its "stupid". Ah well, I think she'd complained more if I pulled up in a 84' Civic

My Mrs is currently a few days away from her due date of our first baby and hasn't been inclined to get in my car for the last month or two. She still frowns at my ogling of this site, but seems to tolerate it now. She knows how important automobiles are to me and has tolerated me dragging her to France for the Vingt Quatre Heures ever since she's known me, plus quite a number of other endurance races scattered throughout the year. My plans for an entire garage "rethink" (Ken, that car lift has me thinking of several future possibilities) have not yet got to the "initial pitch" stage. Any advice?

My girlfriend of 2+ years and probably wife to be hates flashy things in general and more so cars!! Although she understands that it is my passion and hobby, she is fine as long as I dont spend all my time in front of the screen browsing the forums instead of with her...The other problem though (and it is sort if true) is that she thinks that I spend WAAAAAAAAY too much on this damn thing! I really dunno how to save my $$$

When I was considering my first P-car in 1999, my wife of 15+ years insisted that I get the cab. knowing that if I cheaped out on the coupe, I wouldn't be satisfied.

She's quite tolerant of the obsession, however less so of the speed of the tt.

You noticed Sharkey didn't comment, his wife wanted him to get another harness on her side. Damn!

My wife is lobbying hard to sell the Lambo. It's not the money, we have a 4-car garage, but she doesn't like that I have so much fun with something she just can't understand (and she's an engineer [now mommy]). When I threw a spindle on the track in the Lambo I used that to justify getting the tt, so now she says what do you need the Lambo for? The bottom line for her is if I said I would quit going to th track racing but wanted an F40, she'd say get the car. But I don't want to give up the track so the struggle goes on. I'm limited to 2-3 track weekends a year. Oh well.

Brilliant quote! Somehow I don't think I'll be hearing that from my Mrs!
