What do you think of this deal?

I bought a 03 X50 new last May. My car has about 4000 miles on it now. In a conversation with the salesperson that sold me my car I noticed that they still had a new 03, GT2 that was there when I bought my car. I could not resist but to ask what deal they would make on my car. They offered me $105K for my car (I wouild never sell my car for that) and are asking $175K for the GT2. I know the bath I would be taking on my car but what do you think of the price on the GT2? They told that was $8K under invoice. I still think it seems kind of high. Also these were the first numbers out and I think I could get some more out of the deal. Probably not much more though.

Tim

seems high to me, but then again i can't understand why anyone would buy a new TT/GT2 when they full well know the crazy depreciating these things are taking. That car will be worth 150 max with 500 miles on it. That would be a seriously expensive drive home.

The GT2 is new??? Is so, does'nt sound like a bad deal...If your in it for driving experience and not the resale...GT2 all the way...Besides, there will always be TT's, you can't count on another GT2 in the states for a while if ever. The Germans might think the GT2 is just not worth it to make for the comfort loving Americans when the next gen GT2 comes out

for $175k is a little high, sure its brand new but slap 1500-2000 miles on it and their like $145-150k

And your car is worth way more then what he said for an 03' X50.

I say enjoy your car for another year, do some nice mods then sell it for a GT2
