Wrx

This may not be much of a kill storycompared to the likes of Craig and Alex, but I though I'd post it anyway. Was driving back from work and turned on to a long canyon with nice curvy switch backs. A silver Subaru WRX pulled up on my tail so I took the bait. I realize my 996TT easily out performs his but I nevertheless enjoyed putting 3-4 car lengths on him the switchbacks. He was a cool guy in the end giving me the thumbs up at the next stoplight.... I must say I was impressed with the WRX's performance!

Regards

Sameer

yes.. its a AMS gt35r.... so is my intake .. but I have custom intercooler, headers, obviously the whole engine is built, custom tranny, custom clutch,
huge fule system, ams fule rail and 1000 cc injector...
Im probably going up to a 37r which is awesome.
I know guys using 40rs and even 42rs... so a 25r is not that big... LOL

I was running 132mph in my wrx with 550hpatw - ran up to 610hpatw but just wasnt viable for autocrossing, sprints and hillclimbs which is my forte'. Since rebirthed it with complete spec C drivetrain - may not have the top end oomph of the TT but in close quarters the TT will most definitely have a hard time shaking it if at all.

Yea the only thing is, i always found that all of these high awhp wrx's, sti's, evo's which my friends have many of or people i know, do not run up to my expectations. I feel my car with 500 BHP could run with a 550-600 awhp sti, they just dont run hard, i dont know what it is, same goes with Viper's especially supercharged, there was a 996tt owner who said his sc viper only beat his x50 porsche by a CL!

Oh well, i have alot of respect for subie's and evo's done right, they are awesome cars.

I beat a worked WRX in the Cayenne TT last night . I know the guy though and have met him before, its a really nice car! The cayenne still pulled a good 1-1/2 cars on him tho Its so much fun having a fast *** truck!
