How many miles do you have on your TT or GT2?

It really isn't much of a comparison though. The M3 is really only useful for testing my mortality and the wits of the passengers that ride in it. That is probably the only reason I still have it. No BMW really compares to any Porsche beyond maybe a base Carrera regardless of what is done to it, especially when looking at the whole package. You can call that a bit smug, but it took me spending well over $100k in modifications to the M3 to realize, for the same money I could just step up to a Porsche and get a superior car, stock.

Out of curiosity, have you shared your opinion on this with Carmen yet?

I let him drive the GT2 and that is the only thing he talks about anymore. He has since been on the hunt to find the best deal on one. I know now after driving it he is having second thoughts about the FI setup on his M3.
It is just the natural progression of things.

D/A is a capable shop, but it really is not possible to get decent power out of a BMW without a lot of growing pains and constant maintenance. They were never engineered to do what people are trying to acheive with them.
Sorry about taking this thread off-topic.

ICS has been working on this car for over 2 years and still can't get it to run right, and dealing with AA before that was a disaster.

My M3 never excited people like that either, and what better is i get in and go, drive wherever, dont smell like fumes and gas when i get out, its truely amazing and yet eclipses the performance of my M3.Some people want to be unique and love their cars so much, that they want more power and start doing crazy things. I for one feel, the M3 was perfect NA, and would NEVER go FI on another one, but that's me. I had so many headache's and nightmares about building my car, tuning issue, belts, stalling , man i dont miss it one bit. But like you said, once its all sorted out and running well, it is a good feeling
