Adding fuel to the Z06 VS 997TT fire.

damn Guilly, your supra looked bad *** on the drive.. my favorite of all of your supras...
Thanks Sonny, your car looks freaking sweet too, AMAZING what the GT2 wing and Techart bumpers do for a 911TT
BTW just finished the article on R&T and the 997TT tested has the Sport Chrono package, they of course said they loved the extra power it provides.
They didn't pick a "winner" but said from the American Camp the Viper takes the nod due to it's confidence inspiring nature on the track and from the European cars they picked the F430.

I think they did a good job on the vette this time.... heck its actually 350 lbs lighter then the TT.. and thats a lot. seems like our P cars are getting fatter year by year. Yet, the P car produces 133 hp per liter- not bad.
All we need is a 3100 lbs TT and then the contest would be over.
just my opinion.

This is the beauty of competition! For instance I expect the next revision of the Viper to bring out a BEAST since the Z06 has been kicking sand on the face of the Viper. Likewise when the GT2 comes out it'll probably entice GM to bring out the rumored "super Vette/Blue Devil" out! Competition always improves the breed

I just got out of my 03 Turbo after three years, and if it was any indication, and my choice was either the Turbo or the Z06, it's gonna be the Z06 every time.
The plstics might suck, the leather might be lower quality, but at the very least Chevy has enough respect for the Z06 not to push an autotragic tranny in it, unlike the Turbo. Yes, a car that is supposed to be the king of sports car should not be able to be easily driven by any ole granma.
Not to mention that the car is way way too heavy, and way too electronically assisted. PSM that can't be 100% turned off is just crap, and AWD really isn't necessary. They should have made the GT2 the Turbo, and people who want AWD and all that driver saving stuff pay 80K for "cruising package."

The newly released final GT3 order guide is just sickening. Check out all the C02 options (excluding U.S.A. is basically what it means), not only do us 'mericans get shafted out of all the cool stuff like single mass flywheel, we get a bling bling sunroof crammed down our throat.

OK! As you all might know, I think the folks at Porsche are the best in the business. I also know that they are not winning the horsepower race. They chose not to compete in that category for some reason. Relying more on technology than pure grunt. I need to see a 2 out of 3 to see who the real winner is, but regardless it's clear it would be close. Nurburgring Track Times are as follows: Corvette C6 Z06......7:42.9. Porsche 911(997) Turbo......7:40.0. Porsche WINS. Everything is back to normal. You all can go back to sleep it was only a bad dream.
