Head unit question:

Lads,

My 03' comes with the bose sound system (rear sub enclosure etc). Is there an aftermarket head unit that is compatible with the bose amps that are fitted on my vehicle? Does the factory head unit utilise RCA cables etc or is it a complete rewire?

cheers

Aftermarket headunits should NOT be a problem. There should be adapters to interface with your OEM amplifier. I just put in a Pioneer Z1 (got it online for $1,389 ...goes retail for $2,250) with alot of extras. It is performing admirably considering the OEM amplifier and speakers. I too have the Bose subs...

I think my installer used Pac-audio as the adapter...or was it the Soundgate XR4....

Which headunit(s) are you considering so far?

Well then, I strongly suggest the Pioneer AVIC Z1.
