B5 S4 1/4 mile
I can tell you one issue I had with taking my S4 to the 1/4 mile is the water box area. When I first went out I tried to drive around but it didn't help. My tires spun like crazy and I had a hard time managing the rpms and when to shift, etc. That was with only around 400whp. I can imagine how painful it would be with much more hp. I finally said to heck with it and did an awd burnout. That was enough to get the water off the tires and my 60ft time went down to 1.7xx and it was much easier to take off and shift, etc. I'm afraid many B5 owners don't do 1/4 mile at all.. then build the car and end up doing it for the first time with tons of hp and no clue of doing awd burnout.

I agree.
I had a 3000gt vr4 years ago at around 500+whp, and it was tough to get a good launch at the strip, unless I held it at 6000rpm, and did a very quick release, almost dropping the clutch.
Without cleaning the tires, I can understand the problem you had.
I just never had the guts to try a burnout at the strip when I had a 2hr drive home !
you never know... need to look at the file.. good luck..

Congrats again.
