Strange noise after EVO Stage 1 upgrade - is this normal??

I just upgraded my 996TT with the EVO stage 1 kit (Intake, Billet DV's, GIAC software) and I am hearing a strange, not necessary bad, noise when shifting gears. I hear the noise of air being released when I take my foot off the gas and begin to shift into a higher gear. It sounds like a "whoosh" or compressed air sound. I think it is the diverter values releasing air or maybe the turbos are more pronounced with the new setup, but I am not sure. Can an EVO upgrade owner please tell me if what I am hearing is normal.

Thanks,
Marc

It is your V-Flow, you can hear the DV's more. Yes it is 100% normal.

Actually I think its the DVs (sounds like a dweeep when at higher rpms as you shift)...when I hade the DVs installed without the V-flow I had the same sound...kinda cool and normal!

Yep. The DV's. Now all he needs to do is to upgrade to stage 4.

Sorry, I was leaving work when I typed this.

It is your DV's. When I had a boost problem 2 years ago, the first thing I changed were the DV's (Baileys) and could barely hear the whooshing sound. After I ungraded to stage I, and adding the V-Flow, I could hear the DV's so much more. As Wross996TT said it is a pretty cool sound.

My TT is still bone stock and am temped to do the DVs to initiate the modding saga so to speak! Can I expect a performance difference (better throttle response, less turbo lag, etc.) with just the billet DVs even if my stock ones are working fine? Thanks.
