Unhappy CEL on HELP...

My 01 TT had a Unichip installed last year with no issues except at speeds of 150mph plus I would get a check engine light...I learned to live with this feature. The car felt strong and the power was smooth..My car was stock except for the chip...I recently put on a Cargraphic Super Sound (loud) exhaust... I started to notice a slight hesitation at around 4500rpm...I have put about 500 miles on the car since...Tonight while driving my local "track" I got a check engine light that will not go away...I am now thinking about what I should do? Should I go to the dealer? Should I go to my Unichip dealer? Should I suspect the exhaust? Any suggestions?
Thanks...TTech

I got rid of my Unichip because it kept throwing codes. You might try disconnecting the battery for fifteen minutes and then reconnect. There is a good chance the code will disappear. After you reconnect, run the car for a few minutes. You will have to run your windows and sun roof back and forth three times to get them back in the memory mode. In addition you will have to re enter your PSM codes.

Might also want to retune your unichip to accept the change the exhaust produces.

TTech,

There is a good chance you are running a little rich (afr's) on cold start. There is also a chance you started the engine and immediately moved the car without any kind of a warm up. If so, this is not good for many reasons.
