Front diff oily on bottom at 7500 miles?

For those of you that have changed the front diff fluid or have seen the front diff - is it normal for them to be wet on the bottom of the case?? - My TT has 7.5K miles and I was surprised to see this leakage/wetness (also a little wet, and a few drops of diff oil on the body area above the diff {what could be up there that has diff oil??}) The CV boots are not wet, so they are not throwing any oil......really odd.

Also, should we be changing this fluid + transaxle?

Comments/help appreciated!

Hi bonb, actually it should not be that way... you could have a crack or something. Take it to your dealer and have them put one of those lights on it to see if it's leaking due to a crack. If so they will replace it.

As long as it's not "cosmoline" then you're ok btw.. but if it's that sweet nasty smell then it's diff fluid.

I've changed my front differential oil after a couple of thousand miles and I don't have any leaks... nor would I expect any.
