The reason I changed coil packs, as opposed to swapping 1 & 3 for 2 & 4 was to save $$$. It was actually cheaper to change them, I believe ther're about $150 each, than swap/test them and realize they needed replacing anyways. Changing the plugs may do the trick for you. You don't hear much about P0301, despite the numer of guys having to change the plugs.

guys put the stock airbox back on....got check engine light reset. Took the car for a highway spin... from around 3k rpm I floored it in 3rd gear....at 4.5 rpm car as car is pulling, the car feels super rocky n sluggish, but still pulls n boosts 1.1. 1 minute later i floor 4th gear and at 4.5k rpm as I'm wot I get the same non smooth bumpy pull...now the check engine light was flashing at me... as it did a few days ago... the check engine light does not staýjust flashes. I am surethat if I floor it again, the check engine will stay on . so I guess u guys were right. spark plugs. just a question..if I keep driving the car till friday, conservatively...is that ok. am I ruining anything? why does the sluggishness happen at 4.5rpm?

Flashing CEL is not good. I would not drive the car with this (It is not necessarily aweful, but could be). Get it to the dealer quick. Could be plugs or coil packs (Mark is often right) or bad sensors or vacuum leak...get the codes.

mraski thanks i will just change the plugs to the fr6 plugs (already on order) and wil inspect the packs for cracks.

wross, from waht everyone is saying it has to be the plugs....keeping in mind they are stock plugs and im at 21k, + symptoms of bad plugs, i doubt its anything else. Car for the most part, unless driven hard, drives the same.

another thing its a flashing CEL light only if im at WOT in say 4th gear, around 4.5/5k rpm, then the light starts flashing. it then goes off right away as i slow it down. from my experience, if i would keep "testing" the car, it would just trigger the CEL light to -stay on- rather than only blink every now and then when the car is being driven hard around the 5k rpm mark.
