Clearly we can all agree after the exhaust tests that price is not indicative of performance. I would love to know if the programming is that different between the chips or is it very similar. Many believe that some chips just increase the boost while others take fuel, timing ect into the picture. I would love to know what the difference is in terms of testing and actually programming.

I dont think there is one chip tuning company out there that just increases boost and that's it.

Check out my sig to see my dyno graph as well as actual dyno run.

Oh lord, another set of test...I don't think anyone would send me the product to do this one. I would be up for it if we can arrange it.

I think the recent shootout was a pretty good indication of who knows what they're doing with regards to programming.

There are way too many variables with ECU programming to just do an exhaust comparison type of test. Each vendor would have to show up and do the tuning on site specifically for the baseline test car.

I know who would win of course

It is important that the engine not be overly rich in daily slow street use. I don't want to be changing sparkplugs very often. ECU's that change the entire map to compensate for bigger injectors of higher fuel pressures may loose efficiency in daily driving. I've already paid my dues changing spark plugs on hot cammed Holley carbureted street cars. I'd like to know the spark plug life and fuel mileage on cars with the various ECU's.
