clutch crutch

Wanted to get everybody's opinion on this one: My clutch was very still when I initially started the car but then seemed a little better after the engine was running. I did a search and diagnosed the problem as the clutch accumulator. Took the car to the dealer and they said it was the clutch assist return line- the line was "sweating"- not dripping or leaking just "sweating". They said they need to remove the engine to replace the line. I told them why not first try the new accumulator but they said that they had discussed the case with the advisor, tech and shop foreman and were sure that this was the best approach; and of course most expensive....

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Sameer
